Verse 1: Acts 4: 32-35
The gathering of the faithful had met in heart and mind
All was held in common, not one was left behind
No needy were among them. They shared all that they had;
Faithful in their witness to life as God had planned
Chorus: Psalm 133
How beautiful, how pleasing; when people share from God
The fragrant oil that’s flowing from Zion’s hills abroad
Yes, That’s the kind of Kingdom that Jesus had in mind:
The sharing of God’s blessings with kindred souls entwined
Verse 2: 1 John 1:1-4
And so we now bear witness to what we’ve seen and heard:
Life appeared among us in holy living Word
Communion with the Father through Jesus Christ, the Son
God’s dream declared: The Word is shared; We grow in faith as one.
Chorus: Psalm 133
How beautiful, how pleasing; when people share from God
The fragrant oil that’s flowing from Zion’s hills abroad
Yes, That’s the kind of Kingdom that Jesus had in mind:
Living life with daring faith, transforming humankind
Verse 3: 1 John 1:5-9
God’s Dream is shared among us: We live as we forgive
There can be no darkness where hope’s allowed to live
John 20: 19-31
“Just as the Father sent me, that same way I send you”
When you forgive, so shall it be the Word of God in you.
Chorus: Psalm 133
How beautiful, how pleasing when people share from God
The fragrant oil that’s flowing from Zion’s hills abroad
Yes, That’s the kind of Kingdom that Jesus had in mind:
Grace at work among us redeeming humankind
